Job Title:                  Director of Therapy and Outreach Services

Reports To:             Executive Director

 Qualifications:        

Master’s in social work and licensed in the state of S.C. At least two years clinical experience particularly with survivors of sexual assault and abuse. LISW-CP preferred.

General Summary of Duties:

Enhance and expand comprehensive services for survivors of sexual assault to include individual and group therapy. Coordinate with Director of Crisis Services the continuum of crisis and therapeutic intervention services.  Oversee outreach programs for community collaboration and service delivery. Supervise Group Services Coordinator and MSW intern.

 Job Expectations:

·      Plan, promote and provide therapeutic intervention and group services to 25-30 adult and adolescent clients while maintaining the highest level of ethical standards including confidentiality and mandated reporting.

 ·      Supervise and participate in the provision of individual and group therapy services for survivors of sexual assault and abuse including family and loved ones.

 ·      Supervise and participate in planning, coordinating, and execution of community outreach services.

·      Manage grant documentation for clinical and outreach programs including attending required professional development training.

 ·      Provide clinical supervision and in-service education for staff and MSW interns, assist  with volunteer advocate training, and promote STSM within the community. Research and present new ideas for improvements to program.

 ·      Ensure quality assurance of therapeutic treatment and outreach services while maintaining overall quality of all programs and being an active member of the STSM clinical and crisis teams.

 ·      Assist crisis staff in hospital accompaniment and crisis calls as needed in the office and in the after hour on-call rotation.

Volunteer Receptionist

Purpose:  To provide assistance to the staff at Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands in their daily work routines. To refer inquiries to the appropriate staff members and assist in the smooth operation of the agency on a day-to-day basis.

 

Major Responsibilities: 

· Regard all information about agency services provided to the community  as completely confidential.

· Assist callers by taking calls and assuring that calls and messages are directed to the correct staff members.

· Assist staff with upcoming projects which may include: preparation for training sessions, preparation for speaking engagements, preparing materials to be distributed at meetings, preparing reports for grant requirements, creating new materials to promote agency services.

· Other duties as determined by project supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

·   At least 18 years old

·   Available at least 4 hours a week during the office hours of 9:00a - 5:00p       

·   Reliable, dependable, and self-confident about handling stressful situations

·   Must have reliable transportation

Volunteer Group Service Facilitators

Purpose:  To provide therapeutic, psycho-educational, and support group services to survivors and their families. Groups are designed to serve varied populations including female and male survivors, adolescents, children, couples, and their families.

 

Major Responsibilities: 

· Attending to, describing, acknowledging, confronting, understanding, and responding empathically to group members behavior, statements, and themes

· Maintaining group focus

· Giving and receiving feedback in group setting

· Eliciting information from and imparting information to group members

 

Qualifications:

· Licensed professional and/or students currently enrolled in graduate program in counselor education, social work, psychology, or other closely related disciplines

· Masters-level social workers, psychologists, and counselors

· Reliable, dependable, and self-confident about handling stressful situations

· Must have reliable transportation
